March News from Time for Three

To our friends,

Time for Three wishes to express our profound gratitude and appreciation to all the presenters and performing arts organizations we’ve played for in 2007, for their warmth and professionalism. And we also thank our audiences, who have embraced us across the country. We look forward to meeting each of you!

This weekend marks a homecoming for Tf3, as we’ll be performing with the Philly Pops at the Kimmel Center (March 28th and 30th at 8; March 31st and April 1st at 3). The Friday, Saturday and Sunday concerts will be followed by CD signings at Applause, the Kimmel Center’s gift shop.

If you’re in the Philadelphia region, come say hello in person!

With our warm wishes,

Nick, Ranaan and Zach

Details of Tf3’s CDs, projects and upcoming tours, as well as photos and biographies, may be viewed at www.tf3.com and at www.myspace.com/timeforthree.

Many of today’s premiere musicians and composers have worked with Tf3. Simon Rattle enthuses, “Simply put, they’re a knockout! Three benevolent monsters, monsters of ability and technique surely. But also conveyers of an infectious joy that I find both touching and moving. I would recommend them not only for entertainment value, but also for anyone looking to see how all types of American Music can develop, when life and passion such as this are breathed into it."

Philadelphia composer Jennifer Higdon—whose concerto Time for Three will premiere with the Philadelphia Orchestra in January 2008—writes, “Time for Three may very well be the sound and energy that classical music needs to jolt it into the 21st century. These three guys are some of the best musicians around, both individually and as an artistic group, and I haven't seen an audience yet that hasn't gone nuts over hearing them play. They defy boundaries and exceed expectations. You want to excite an audience, thrill and engage young people, and convince even those who have come primarily to hear just their Brahms? Wait until you hear Time for Three. You won't forget them, and neither will the audience!”

Tf3 recently performed with the Cleveland Pops and received a rapturous welcome. Mary Beth Ions, one of the orchestra’s first violins, observes, “Those wizards left Severance Hall ringing in a way it never will again... unless they come back! Word is out! I think Severance Hall was changed forever tonight. You guys were totally amazing... the real American idols! Thank you for bringing music to life tonight. All of us, on stage and off, had our socks blown off--absolutely breathtaking!”
