News from Time for Three

Holiday greetings from Time for Three!

It's been a joy for us to share our music with all of you, both through our live concerts and two CDs (http://cdbaby.com/cd/timeforthree and http://cdbaby.com/cd/timeforthree2).

Our new recording, Three Fervent Travelers, is scheduled for a spring 2007 release. Tf3 offers their thoughts on three of the CD's 12 tracks:

Ranaan writes, "Of Time and Three Rivers is a magnificent piece to be a part of because it symbolizes such an important place in our country, the city of Pittsburgh. When performing this tune, I often do not even realize that I am a part of playing it; the music has become internalized to the extent that it takes control over my maneuvering the bass."

"Blackbird inspired an arrangement from us that I feel is one of our best efforts," relates Zach. "We took only the melody line, and as quickly as possible steered clear of the Beatles version, truly making it our own. This spawned an arrangement that is both original, and very 'ours'. In concerts, this is one of the songs people love, and I love playing it for them."

Nick, Zach and Ranaan extend their warmest wishes for happiness, good health and a wonderful holiday season as we welcome an eventful 2007!


Tf3 performs over 100 concerts during the 2006-07 season – look for them near you! Their schedule for the next several months sees them in performances throughout the country. Additionally, NPR's Performance Today program will broadcast Tf3 on January 12, which will include the 'Bach Double' and 'Forget About It!'
